I'm a 50-year member of the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance, and I've held various certifications in the CSIA, ACA, CASI, and Telemark organizations. I've taught and performed skiing all over the world, including in Whistler, Japan, and recently Loch Lomond. I grew up on the Muskoka Lakes, which is why I ultimately ended up in Thunder Bay. While the mountains are amazing, I love living back on the water on Burke Lake.
Slalom and barefoot are my favorite styles of waterskiing.
As well as running a waterski school and performing in waterski shows in the mid 70's, I operated one of the first Windsurfing schools and dealerships in Canada beginning in 1978. The sport of windsurfing has taken me to many inland lakes in Canada, the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and the Hawaiian Island of Maui.
ABOUT
I've been a water sports enthusiast for over 60 years, and I still love it as much now as I did when I first started. I started waterskiing at age five and added Alpine skiing around the same time. Slalom and barefoot are my favorite styles of waterskiing, but I also enjoy windsurfing and kiteboarding. When I saw Wing Foiling on the internet, it looked a lot less complicated and a lot of fun. Foiling has many applications besides winging. There is paddle, wake and E-foiling too.
